Gotta love a knock-off!

I get a lot of random catalogs, but yesterday I found one that actually had things I like! Home Decorators is a very odd mix of furniture & accessories, with some pieces that are clear Restoration Hardware knock-offs.....

I think this means we finally found a coffee table that we both like & that will be versatile enough to go with whatever upholstery we may have in the future.

Are money trees real?

I am cursed with expensive taste, which doesn't stop at furniture.

A Gray Bedroom.....

My latest design obsession is searching for the perfect gray linens for our bedroom. I was initially inspired by CB2, Crate & Barrel's more modern & less expensive sister.

I like the simplicity of the bed with white side pieces (all the better to hide Cambria's hair that tends to end up everywhere).

My search led me to some okay finds at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond, but I really want to keep the palette on the duvet completely gray and white in case I decide one day that I really hate green (which honestly, I can't see ever happening). Then I stumbled onto a very promising set at West Elm, thanks to my friend Jessica posting about her own search for new bedding.

It has a great simple, graphic design in gray neutrals. It was my front runner until I started browsing Ikea & found something very similar for only $20! You have to love the Swedes.

Now I just have to step into the madness that is Ikea to get this project started....
